Directors chairs are a terrific investment for any brand that wants to engage audiences, attract attention, remain within budget, and rest their weary feet. But before you select yours, what do you need to know? A few things to look for:
Quality construction. Is the director chair made with cheap wood or flimsy metal? If so, it’s likely you won’t see much use. And could you imagine anything worse than a seating malfunction (i.e., a trade show attendee or potential customer breaking the chair mid-conversation!). Look for high-quality hardwood. This will cost a bit more but it will return your investment with increased use and superior durability. It will also look better from an aesthetic perspective, which is critical.
Safety locks. Ideally, your chairs have front and back safety locks. This increases their stability and puts you at ease whenever you – or a customer – sit down.
High-quality canvas. Canvas is an incredibly durable material, and it can be customized. Print your logo with a digital thermal process to lock in crisp, bold color. This is a great way to attract attention, build brand awareness, and create a unified image. Unprinted ones can also be used for additional seating or for casual use around your office or even your home.
Some sets include directors chair replacement covers. While canvas is durable, an extra is always a good idea so you can swap out colors to suit your environment.
Return policy. Make sure that your vendor has a return policy and that you read it before ordering. This way, you have that extra assurance that if it’s inadvertently damaged during shipping or if you changed your mind about the color it can be remedied.
A director chair conveys a sense of fun and even exclusivity. After all, who do we see in them but our favorite actors and directors! Let’s add our favorite customers to the list.
